The invention discloses a construction method of outer wall gradient hollow decorative bricks, which belongs to the technical field of building construction and comprises the following steps: S1, typesetting and deepening decorative bricks; s2, wall body paying-off is carried out; s3, aerated blocks are built; s4, fully paving mortar; s5, building decorative bricks; s6, cement mortar and thermal insulation mortar are poured; and S7, outer wall waterproof slip joint construction. The aerated blocks and the tie bars are arranged in a matched mode, the tie bars are arranged in mortar joints while the aerated blocks are built, the overall structural strength of the decorative brick is effectively enhanced, and the decorative brick is prevented from falling off; holes of the joint bars are filled with masonry mortar so that the structural safety of the outer wall can be enhanced, then gaps between the aerated blocks and the decorative bricks are filled with thermal insulation mortar, and the cold-proof and thermal insulation performance is improved.
