The invention relates to a construction method for fixing a cantilever boundary beam of a steel box girder, which comprises the following steps of: after a middle beam section is stably supported and the boundary beam section is lifted to a preset position and is kept balanced, respectively erecting two ends of a first connecting plate on top plates of the boundary beam section and the middle beam section; the vertical second connecting holes in the two ends of the first connecting plate can be aligned with the vertical first connecting holes in the top plates of the edge beam sections and the middle beam sections respectively, and then the first connecting pieces penetrate through the corresponding first connecting holes and the second connecting holes for connection; the edge beam section is safely and stably overhung on the stably supported middle beam section through horizontal overhanging of the first connecting plate and vertical tension of the first connecting piece, so that the edge beam section can be stably fixed, and a concrete foundation and a steel pipe support do not need to be constructed below the edge beam section. And compared with horse plate connection, the consumed time can be greatly shortened, the cost is lower, and the method can be suitable for hoisting construction of the steel box girder cantilever boundary beam within limited time.
