A locking system (100) for locking a vehicle cover, comprising: a cover (103); a movement actuator (105) for moving the cover (103); a lock (106) comprising a rotational translation pin (2) having a head (20) adapted to engage with the seat (130) of the cover; an actuator (1) of the lock, which moves the rotary translation pin (2); the actuator (1) comprises: an electric motor (7) and a motion reduction device (R); the electric motor (7) is suitably configured to rotate in a first rotational direction to move the rotationally translating pin from the retracted position to the extracted position, and to rotate in a second rotational direction to move the rotationally translating pin from the extracted position to the retracted position.
