The chemical formula of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is R-[O-C (O)-C (R1) = CH-C (O)-O-C (R2) = CH-C (O)-] n-O-C (O)-R3, R is a polymer main chain, R1 and R2 are non-hydrogen functional groups, R3 is an organic or inorganic functional group, and n is the degree of polymerization; the preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out a prepolymerization reaction in an inert atmosphere, adding a proper amount of a cross-linking agent to form a comb-shaped topological structure, carrying out a further polymerization reaction, and finally purifying and drying to obtain the product. The water reducer can be used in concrete or cement-based materials, can significantly improve the fluidity and pumpability under a low mixing amount, and reduces the water-cement ratio and the cement consumption, thereby improving the strength and durability of the concrete or cement-based materials.
