The invention discloses modified asphalt for steel bridge deck pavement, which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: based on 100 parts of matrix asphalt, 3-7 parts of thermoplastic elastomer, 1-5 parts of thermoplastic resin, 2-4 parts of plasticizer, 1-3 parts of aromatic hydrocarbon oil, 2-6 parts of self-repairing microcapsule, 5-15 parts of diatomite and 0.1-0.3 part of stabilizer. The self-healing ability of the steel bridge deck pavement material can be improved when cracks appear, and the steel bridge deck pavement material can be self-repaired by means of the excellent self-healing ability even if the cracks appear. Meanwhile, the anti-cracking performance of the steel bridge deck pavement material can be improved, cracking is delayed as much as possible, and the service life is prolonged.
