Retaining device for vehicle door
The invention provides a holding device for a vehicle door. The vehicle door holding device includes a rotary drum, a gear, and a lock switching mechanism portion. The lock switching mechanism portion includes a rotary gear, a pawl, a lock link, and a torque transmission switching portion. The lock switching mechanism portion is configured to hold the pawl at the unlocked position by blocking the torque transmitted from the rotary gear to the lock link during a door opening operation, and to rotate the pawl to the locked position by transmitting the torque from the rotary gear to the lock link during a door holding operation, thereby bringing the rotary drum into a locked state, and to hold the pawl at the unlocked position by blocking the torque transmitted from the rotary gear to the lock link during a door holding operation. In the locking state, only the movement of the vehicle door in the closing direction is allowed.
