The ancient building column foot displacement restraining device comprises an ancient building wooden column, the ancient building wooden column penetrates through a connecting steel plate to be arranged on a foundation, a shape memory alloy short column is arranged between the connecting steel plate and the foundation, and a plurality of rubber rings are arranged on the surface of the connecting steel plate and along the column bottom of the ancient building wooden column. The rubber ring is used for limiting transverse movement of the historic building wooden column. According to the device, firstly, lateral force transmitted by the column foot is resisted through deformation of the rubber rings, secondly, resistance bending moment is generated through friction between the interiors of the rubber rings, and finally, the shape memory alloy short columns provide self-resetting capacity to help the column foot to better return to the original position, so that a wood framework where the column foot is located dissipates earthquake energy, and the earthquake resistance is improved. And when the column swings, multi-direction energy consumption can be achieved, and column foot earthquake damage is relieved. The damper has the characteristics of low maintenance cost and simplicity in construction.
