An embodiment of the present invention provides a construction machine including a boom, the construction machine including: a boom cylinder that raises and lowers the boom and is divided into a head side and a rod side; a boom regeneration valve that controls the flow rate of hydraulic oil discharged from the head side of the boom cylinder; an operation device that generates an operation signal for the operation of the boom; an accumulator for storing the hydraulic oil discharged from the boom cylinder; a regeneration motor that generates renewable energy by performing a regeneration operation using the hydraulic oil discharged from the boom cylinder or the accumulator; and a control device that corrects the opening area of the boom regeneration valve on the basis of the pressure of the accumulator when the boom is lowered.
