The embodiment of the invention provides a vehicle interception system and method, the system comprises a barrier gate, an early warning road cone, a roadblock and an alarm, the barrier gate is provided with a trigger switch and a handrail; the early warning road cones are provided with collision detectors, and a passage leading to the barrier gate is formed by the multiple early warning road cones; the trigger switch and the collision detector are in communication connection with the roadblock, and the alarm is in communication connection with the roadblock; when the vehicles in the access do not cooperate, the vehicles break through the handrails or knock down the early warning road cones; the handrail sends a first alarm signal or the early warning road cone sends a second alarm signal, and the alarm performs alarm operation after receiving the first alarm signal or the second alarm signal; the roadblock performs interception operation after receiving the first alarm signal; by means of the vehicle intercepting system, safe and quick response can be achieved so as to intercept the vehicle and conduct alarm operation.
