The invention discloses a lattice type steel tower column assembling jig frame and a construction method thereof, and relates to the field of bridge construction. The method comprises the steps that two symmetrical jig frames are installed, the steel pipe column and the jig frames are fixed, and the jig frames are rotated to design positions; the rotating angles of the jig frames are adjusted, the steel pipe columns on the two jig frames are spliced, a connecting structure between the two sets of steel pipe columns is installed, and a section of steel tower column is spliced; and fixing between each section of steel tower column and the jig frame is relieved, and each section of steel tower column is hoisted until the steel tower column reaches the designed height. The construction period of building the lattice type steel tower column can be shortened, and the construction error of building the lattice type steel tower column is reduced.
