The construction method comprises the steps that a discharging hopper and a terrace of the existing connected silo are broken, a foundation pit enclosure structure, a newly-added pile foundation and a steel stand column above the newly-added pile foundation are constructed, brackets and vertical embedded parts are installed on the steel stand column, a core raft plate is constructed to be connected with a bearing platform foundation, and a basement is additionally arranged on the foundation. A soil taking hole and a lifting hole are reserved in the core raft, a lifting mechanism is installed, a suspension wire is connected, connection between a bearing platform foundation and an existing pile foundation is cut off, bolts on corbels and steel stand columns are detached, the core raft is lifted through the lifting mechanism and the suspension wire, the bolts on the corbels and the steel stand columns are connected, and a peripheral raft and the core raft are constructed to form a top plate. And the steel stand columns above the top plate are cut off, a rail type soil taking device is installed in the existing connected silo, a basement structure is constructed, a newly-added pile foundation and the steel stand columns are supplemented and constructed at a soil taking hole, and a floor slab is closed. The construction method is safe and reliable in construction, high in unearthing efficiency and suitable for underground space expansion of the existing connected silo.
