The invention discloses an inland river bridge installation method and system.The installation method comprises the steps that a to-be-installed bridge is loaded through at least two landside transport vehicles and conveyed to a first preset position, a deck barge is arranged between river banks on the two sides, and the deck barge is provided with a navigation side transport vehicle capable of moving along the deck barge; one end, close to the river bank, of the to-be-mounted bridge is detached from the landside transport vehicle close to one side of the river bank and fixedly mounted on the navigation side transport vehicle; controlling the landside transport vehicle and the navigation side transport vehicle to synchronously transport along the extension direction of the deck barge until the to-be-mounted bridge crosses the river channel to a second preset position; the to-be-installed bridge is detached from the landside transport vehicle and the navigation side transport vehicle and installed, the operation time can be shortened as much as possible through the installation method, and the influence on channel passing is reduced; on the other hand, equipment mobilization is fast and flexible, occupied space is small, and preparation time is short.
