The invention relates to a sunken air shaft structure and a construction method thereof.The sunken air shaft structure comprises a prefabricated air shaft body structure installed in a building body, a ventilation channel is formed in the prefabricated air shaft body structure, an air inlet is formed in the top of the prefabricated air shaft body structure, an air pipe connecting hole is reserved in the side portion of the prefabricated air shaft body structure, and a water outlet is formed in the bottom of the prefabricated air shaft body structure; the top surface of the air shaft main body structure is flush with the top surface of the building main body; and the shutter is arranged at the air inlet. The prefabricated air shaft body structure is adopted, the construction period can be shortened, the construction efficiency is greatly improved, the top face of the air shaft body structure is flush with the top face of the building body, and the overall landscape effect is guaranteed. According to the air shaft main body structure, the air pipe connecting hole is formed in the side part, and the water outlet is formed in the bottom, so that water and air entering the ventilation channel of the air shaft main body structure are separated, the air enters the building main body from the air pipe connecting hole in the side part to meet the ventilation requirement, and the water flows into the water outlet in the bottom to be discharged.
