The invention discloses a cofferdam lowering positioning device and a using method thereof, and relates to the technical field of cofferdam construction.The cofferdam lowering positioning device comprises an outer fixing ring arranged on the outer side of a steel casing in a sleeving mode and further comprises a positioning mechanism, a control mechanism, a driving mechanism and a connecting mechanism; the positioning mechanism is arranged between the outer fixing ring and the steel casing and is used for clamping the steel casing; the control mechanism is connected with the positioning mechanism and used for controlling the positioning mechanism to clamp or loosen the steel casing. The driving mechanism is used for providing power for the control mechanism; the connecting mechanism is used for connecting the cofferdam and the outer fixing ring. The descending difficulty of the cofferdam is reduced, and accurate positioning of the cofferdam is achieved.
