The invention discloses a self-climbing safety net device capable of extending horizontally. The self-climbing safety net device comprises a main steel frame structure, a transverse telescopic structure, a longitudinal multi-stage telescopic structure and a lifting mechanism. The longitudinal multi-stage telescopic structure comprises two longitudinal multi-stage telescopic assemblies which are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the main steel frame structure respectively. The longitudinal multi-stage telescopic assemblies can stretch out and draw back longitudinally and form laying areas of safety nets of different areas. The main steel frame structure is connected with the longitudinal multi-stage telescopic assemblies on the two sides through the transverse telescopic structure, the longitudinal multi-stage telescopic assemblies on the two sides can be driven to stretch/retract through stretching and retracting of the transverse telescopic structure, and the lifting mechanisms are symmetrically arranged on upper flanges of steel beams on the two sides and connected with the main steel frame structure. And the main body steel frame structure is driven to ascend through the lifting mechanism.
