The present invention relates to a striker (10) comprising: a striker pad (12) comprising a wire portion (14); a fastening element (16) configured to apply a fastening force; and a deformable spacer (18). The deformable spacer (18) includes a first end (18A) configured to receive the fastening force and a second end (18B) configured to contact the vehicle body. Wherein the spacer is configured to create a gap (G) between the striker pad and the vehicle body when a first torque value is applied to the fastening element, such that the striker pad is movable along a first axis (A) by a force applied by the latch cooperating with the wire portion when the door is closed, and when a second torque value is applied to the fastening element, the fastening element deforms to allow contact between the striker pad and the vehicle body.
