The invention discloses an overpass bridge building method, which belongs to the field of bridge building, and comprises the following steps: building cast-in-place piles of a left width splicing section and a right width splicing section; only the main line right part is conducted, a cast-in-place pile of the main line left part is built, meanwhile, construction of a cover beam and a bridge abutment is conducted, then a beam plate is erected, and a bridge deck structure layer is laid; only the left width splicing width section is conducted, a main line right width cast-in-place pile is built, meanwhile, construction of a capping beam and a bridge abutment is conducted on the main line left width, after construction of the right width cast-in-place pile is completed, construction of the capping beam and the bridge abutment of the main line right width and the right width splicing width section is conducted, beam plates are erected, and a bridge deck structure layer is laid; only the main line right width and the right width splicing section are conducted, a beam plate of the left width splicing section is dismantled, the left width splicing section is connected with a beam plate of the main line left width, and a pavement structure layer is paved; and a ramp roadbed is tunneled at the bottom. The problems that when an overpass bridge is built on an existing road, the traffic control time is long, the influence on vehicle passing is large, and economic losses are large can be solved.
