The invention relates to the technical field of bridge engineering, in particular to a deepwater pile group foundation reinforcement cage and a design method thereof.The deepwater pile group foundation reinforcement cage comprises a plurality of vertical main reinforcements, a plurality of horizontal main reinforcements and a plurality of horizontal main reinforcements, the standard sections of the multiple vertical main reinforcements are used for being annularly and evenly arranged at intervals with the center of the section of the pile foundation as the circle center, and the anchoring sections corresponding to the standard sections are located above the top face of the pile foundation and used for being arranged in the nearest gap in a plurality of gaps defined by longitudinal horizontal reinforcements and transverse horizontal reinforcements which are evenly arranged at set intervals at the bottom face of a bearing platform in a penetrating mode. The transition section is located between the corresponding standard section and the anchoring section and is bent by a set angle relative to the standard section and the anchoring section.
