A ceramic body containing Al2O3, SiO2, and MnO as essential components, and containing at least one of Mo and Cr2O3 as any component. In the ceramic body, the content of Al2O3 is from 82.0% by mass to 95.0% by mass (inclusive), the content of SiO2 is from 3.0% by mass to 8.0% by mass (inclusive), the content of MnO is from 2.0% by mass to 6.0% by mass (inclusive), the total of the content of Mo and the content of Cr2O3 in terms of MoO3 is 4.0% by mass or less, and the content of the remainder is less than 0.1% by mass.
