The invention discloses a shallowly-buried underground pipeline protection structure and a construction method thereof. The shallowly-buried underground pipeline protection structure comprises a protection cover plate, a stand column, a bearing platform, a cushion layer, a settlement monitoring device, a yellow sand layer and an undisturbed soil layer. Stand columns are arranged on the two sides of the underground pipeline respectively, a bearing platform is arranged below the stand columns and arranged on a cushion layer, a protective cover plate is laid between the two stand columns and arranged above the stand columns, and the underground pipeline is arranged in a semi-closed space defined by the stand columns on the two sides of the underground pipeline, the bearing platform, the cushion layer and the protective cover plate.
