The invention discloses a lightweight foamed ceramic insulation board prepared by regenerating waste glass and a preparation method thereof, the lightweight foamed ceramic insulation board is characterized by comprising the following materials by mass: 80-95% wt of waste glass powder, 0.1-5% wt of a foaming agent, 0.1-3% wt of a foaming aid, 0.1-2% wt of a fluxing agent and 3-20% wt of clay mineral powder, and the lightweight foamed ceramic insulation board is prepared by mixing the materials, sintering, foaming and cooling. According to the method, anhydrous borax subjected to heat treatment is added into a raw material mainly comprising waste glass powder, and the granularity and proportion of the waste glass powder, the foaming agent, the foaming aid and the clay mineral powder are adjusted, so that the sintering temperature and the sintering time are greatly reduced, and the raw material does not need to be wet-ground into slurry and then subjected to high-temperature spray drying. The manufacturing process is simple, the cost is low, and the method is a low-cost method for recycling the waste glass. The thermal insulation board prepared by the method is of a hexagonal honeycomb independent pore structure, and is small in volume density, high in compressive strength, low in water absorption rate, low in thermal conductivity and high in cost performance.
