The low-prestress self-resetting asymmetric friction damping device comprises an outer cylinder, an asymmetric damping unit and a self-resetting unit, one end of the outer cylinder is sealed, the other end of the outer cylinder is provided with an opening, the asymmetric damping unit is connected with the self-resetting unit in series, and the self-resetting unit is connected with the asymmetric damping unit in series. The asymmetric damping unit and the self-resetting unit are both movably fixed in the outer cylinder, the asymmetric damping unit is located at the sealed end of the outer cylinder, and the self-resetting unit is located at the open end of the outer cylinder; when the device is pulled, the asymmetric damping unit generates frictional damping, and the self-resetting unit generates elastic restoring force; when the device is pressed, the asymmetric damping unit does not generate frictional damping, and the self-resetting unit does not generate elastic restoring force. Compared with the prior art, the damper has the advantages of tension and compression asymmetric damping performance, low prestress, self-resetting and the like.
