The invention provides an entrance and exit flood control device and a control method thereof. The entrance and exit flood control device comprises a driving device, a water level sensor, a seat body and a water baffle hinged to the seat body. The two ends of the driving device are hinged to the water baffle and the base correspondingly so that the driving device can drive the water baffle to turn over relative to the base. The water level sensor is used for monitoring the water level outside the access so that the driving device can drive the water baffle to ascend and descend according to the water level outside the access. And the driving device is also provided with a force transducer for detecting the magnitude of thrust applied to the water baffle by the driving device. The force measuring sensor can monitor the magnitude of thrust applied to the water baffle by the driving device. If the driving device is loosened, the monitored thrust is small. At the moment, the driving device acts to tightly abut against the water baffle again. Therefore, real-time monitoring can be carried out and the water baffle can be always in a tight state by arranging the force measuring sensor.
