The box-type room comprises a bottom plate, side plates are vertically arranged on the two sides of the bottom plate in the length direction, door plates are vertically arranged at the two ends of the bottom plate in the length direction, a using area is defined by the door plates and the side plates, and top plates are arranged on the door plates and the side plates; the top plate and the side plates are coated with radiation refrigeration films; the side plates comprise two supporting plates, a first plate body and two second plate bodies, the two supporting plates correspond to the two door plates respectively, the top end and the bottom end of each supporting plate are fixed to the top plate and the bottom plate respectively, and the two second plate bodies are distributed on the two sides of the first plate body and connected through hinges. Sliding shafts are arranged at the top ends and the bottom ends of the sides, away from the first plate body, of the two second plate bodies, and sliding grooves allowing the sliding shafts to be inserted and move are formed in the top plate and the bottom plate; the temporary space of the box-type house can be conveniently increased, and the space resource utilization rate is improved.
