The invention discloses an underground pipe gallery operation and maintenance system and operation and maintenance method based on BI M. In the system, at least one BI M intelligent sensing support is installed on the side wall, a plurality of pipe gallery structure optical fiber cable detection sensors are arranged on the inner wall of a pipe gallery to generate support position information, and a pipe gallery environment detection terminal is arranged in the pipe gallery to generate detection information of a pipe gallery environment; the data processing center is connected with the bracket information processor to process the bracket position information and the detection information, and responds to the detection information, and the data processing center judges the operation error of the pipe gallery and positions the error position; the broadcasting implementation unmanned aerial vehicle is wirelessly connected with the data processing center, responds to an error instruction of the data processing center, flies to an error position for state broadcasting implementation, acquires broadcasting picture information and performs data interaction with the data processing center; and the B I M display terminal generates and displays B I M data based on the bracket position information, the detection information and the broadcast picture information. The system displays the operation state of the pipe gallery in real time and is comprehensive and accurate in monitoring.
