The invention discloses a preparation and polishing method of high-quality magnesium aluminate spinel transparent ceramic. Magnesium aluminate spinel powder prepared by a wet chemical method which is relatively low in cost and simple and convenient in process is high in purity, small in particle size, uniform in particle size distribution and relatively small in agglomeration phenomenon; by adding the annealing process, carbon pollution from a graphite mold in the spark plasma sintering process is eliminated, and the transmissivity of the high-quality magnesium aluminate spinel transparent ceramic is improved; by adding the sintering aid La2O3, the pinning effect at the grain boundary effectively inhibits grain growth, the grain size is obviously reduced, and the size distribution is more uniform, so that pores are smoothly discharged, stress concentration is avoided, and the density, hardness and bending strength of a ceramic sample are improved. The B4C grinding material and the diamond grinding paste are selected to replace SiC abrasive paper to conduct fine polishing on the two surfaces of the sample till the surfaces of the sample are smooth and free of pits and scratches, and the ideal polishing effect is achieved.
本发明公开了一种高质量镁铝尖晶石透明陶瓷的制备及抛光方法,通过成本较低、工艺简便的湿化学法制备的镁铝尖晶石粉体高纯度、粒度小、粒径分布均匀、团聚现象较小;通过增加退火工艺,消除了放电等离子烧结过程中来自石墨模具的碳污染,提升了高质量镁铝尖晶石透明陶瓷的透射率;通过添加烧结助剂La2O3,在晶界的钉扎效应有效地抑制了晶粒生长,晶粒尺寸有明显的减小,尺寸分布也更加均匀,使得气孔得以顺利排出,避免了应力集中的发生,陶瓷样品的致密度、硬度和抗弯强度也因此获得了提升。通过选用B4C磨料和金刚石研磨膏代替SiC砂纸对样品两个表面都进行精抛光,抛光至样品表面平整无凹陷及划痕,达到理想的打磨效果。
