A door and window locking mechanism is used for keeping door and window opening locking and comprises a guide rail part and a connecting rod part, one of the guide rail part and the connecting rod part is connected with a door and window frame, the other of the guide rail part and the connecting rod part is connected with a door and window sash, a sliding block can slide in the guide rail part, and the connecting rod part is connected with the guide rail part through the sliding block. The door and window sash drives the sliding block to slide in the guide rail piece through the connecting rod piece, the locking piece can slide up and down in the guide rail piece, one end of the locking piece is provided with a first elastic piece, and the sliding block and the locking piece are correspondingly provided with a locking position and a locking protrusion which are matched with each other. When the door and window are opened to drive the sliding block to slide to the position of the locking piece, the sliding block abuts against the locking piece to move and pushes the first elastic piece, so that position locking is achieved between the locking piece and the sliding block through matching of the locking position and the locking protrusion, and the opening degree of the door and window is kept.
