The invention relates to a rotary driving device for railway ballast excavation, and belongs to the technical field of rail transit. The bottom of a supporting piece of the device is formed by connecting a middle large ring and small rings on the two sides to form a bottom plate, the middle of the bottom plate is connected with a flange ring on the top, the middle of the lower surface is fixedly connected with an inner ring, and the inner ring and an outer gear ring form a rotating pair. The outer gear ring is fixedly connected with the upper end of the box body; the two sides of the lower surface of the supporting piece bottom plate are fixedly connected with half-shell-shaped shaft end covers correspondingly and used for installing a gear shaft, and the gear shaft is provided with a lower outer tooth part meshed with the outer gear ring. The top of the supporting piece is fixedly connected with the hanging lug, and small rings on the two sides of the supporting piece support and install the brake and the motor with the brake respectively.
