The invention provides a large-size transparent YAG (yttrium aluminum garnet) nano ceramic which is characterized in that the large-size transparent YAG nano ceramic is directly obtained by one-step hot-pressing crystallization of amorphous glass prepared by one-step high-temperature heat treatment; the refractive index of the amorphous glass ranges from 1.8 to 2.3, the hardness ranges from 9 GPa to 14 GPa, the transmittance ranges from 79% to 93%, and the amorphous degree is 100%. The YAG nano ceramic is composed of a YAG nanocrystalline phase, and the grain size is 20-60 nm; the diameter of the YAG nano ceramic is 1-3 cm, and the transmittance of the YAG nano ceramic in the wavelength range of 450-800 nm is 77%-83%. The large-size nano ceramic with excellent optical, mechanical and thermal stability is directly obtained by adopting one-step hot-pressing crystallization, and the nano ceramic has wide application prospects in multiple fields.
