The basement exterior wall waterproof protection layer construction method comprises the following steps that S1, a protection plate is prefabricated, the protection plate is formed by bonding an extruded sheet and a rigid plate, and two vertically-arranged connecting holes are preset in the upper end face and the lower end face of the protection plate correspondingly; s2, waterproof layer construction of the outer wall body is completed; s3, constructing a cushion layer; s4, before initial setting of the cushion layer, the protection plates of the bottom row are sequentially inserted into the cushion layer close to the waterproof layer, and before insertion, one side of the extruded sheet is coated with cement paste; s5, after the cushion layer is finally set, the protection plates of the upper row are installed, connecting rods are inserted into connecting holes in the upper end faces of the protection plates of the bottom row, then the protection plates of the upper row are sequentially inserted in sequence, before insertion, one side of the extruded sheet is coated with cement paste, and the protection plates of the upper row and the lower row are assembled in a staggered joint mode; s6, angle supplementing is conducted, and then the step S5 is repeated till assembling of all the protection plates is completed; the construction period can be effectively shortened, the labor cost is saved, and the risk that the waterproof layer is damaged is reduced.
