The invention discloses a spherical connection node for a bidirectional cross truss and a construction method thereof. The spherical connection node comprises a first chord member; two opposite sides of the first chord member are respectively connected with the supporting brackets; the two ends, in the arc forming direction, of the arc-shaped plate are connected to the top of the first chord member correspondingly, the inner arc face of the arc-shaped plate faces the top of the first chord member, the two opposite sides, in the width direction, of the arc-shaped plate extend downwards to form arc-shaped flanges correspondingly, and the arc-shaped flanges are connected to the end face, away from the first chord member, of the supporting bracket; the bracket is mounted at the tops of the first chord member and the supporting bracket and is supported on the inner arc surfaces of the arc-shaped plate and the arc-shaped flange; the plurality of first web members are respectively connected to the outer arc surfaces of the arc-shaped plates; the second chord member and the supporting bracket are coaxially arranged, and the second chord member is connected to the arc-shaped flange; the plurality of second web members are respectively connected to the outer arc surfaces of the arc-shaped flanges. The problem that an existing plane truss intersection node is low in safety degree or tedious in machining is solved.
