The method comprises the steps that a transport ship loads a steel truss to be close to a branch trestle, and the transport ship leans against a ship berthing pile on the side of the branch trestle through anchor chain mooring of the transport ship; the two floating cranes fix the limiting rod pieces between the cable columns through shackles; the two floating cranes are hinged to be close to the transport ship through floating crane anchor chains and form a splayed position towards the transport ship, and lifting hooks on the floating cranes and the gravity center of a steel truss girder are located on the same vertical plane; the lifting hook is connected with the steel truss girder lifting lug, and the floating crane lifts the steel truss girder to the top of the bow of the transport ship; after the transport ship is driven away, the floating crane continues to hoist the steel truss girder to be above the designed elevation; and the steel truss girder is located above the pier-side bracket, the lifting hook descends, and the steel truss girder is placed on a slide way beam at the top of the pier-side bracket. And the width of the front part of the floating crane is reduced, the hoisting positions are increased, and the hoisting efficiency is improved.
