The invention provides a roof water vapor discharge system and a construction method, which are used for discharging water vapor in a thermal insulation layer, firstly, a roof structure layer is constructed, then a first leveling layer is laid, a gas collecting pipe is installed at the same time, then a thermal insulation layer, a second leveling layer, a protective layer, a steam discharge pipe and a waterproof layer are laid in sequence, and an upper cover is installed. Wherein the steam exhaust pipe is detachably arranged at the upper end of the gas collecting pipe and is provided with a water blocking disc, so that condensate water is discharged through the flow guide groove and the drainage hole; and when no water vapor is discharged, the sealing upper cover is adopted to replace the steam discharging pipe, and the gas collecting pipe is closed. By arranging the water blocking disc, condensate water in the steam exhaust pipe is discharged, and the steam exhaust effect and the steam exhaust efficiency are greatly improved; by adopting the sealing upper cover, the damage caused by long-term exposure of the steam exhaust system is avoided; the structure is simple, construction is convenient, the steam exhaust effect is good, the using effect and the service life of the roof heat preservation layer and the waterproof layer are guaranteed, meanwhile, the steam exhaust pipe is convenient to replace, and maintenance is convenient.
