The invention relates to the technical field of silicon nitride ceramic substrate forming processes, and discloses a tape casting process of a silicon nitride ceramic substrate material. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: carrying out first-time detection and finishing on a green sheet before drying after tape casting, drying after the first-time finishing, carrying out second-time detection and finishing after drying, and carrying out laminated adhesion after the second-time detection and finishing. Two times of detection and finishing are adopted in the procedure before sintering forming, grinding and polishing of the sintered ceramic substrate are reduced, meanwhile, detection and finishing are conducted on the green sheet before drying, the phenomenon that finishing is not facilitated or materials are wasted after drying due to the phenomena of blistering, cracking, deformation and uneven thickness of the green sheet can be avoided, and the production efficiency is improved. After drying, the green sheet is subjected to secondary detection and finishing, so that the change of the green sheet caused by drying can be finished, the complexity of grinding and polishing after sintering is reduced, the operation efficiency can be improved, the cutting loss is reduced, the generated stress is reduced, and the product quality is improved.
