The invention discloses a construction method for a uniform-section hollow thin-wall pier based on a cantilever type formwork, and relates to the technical field of pier column construction. The construction method comprises the following steps that two pier columns to be constructed are determined; the two pier columns share the same set of cantilever type template; and the same set of cantilever type formworks are constructed in a staggered working procedure in sequence, and two pier columns are constructed at the same time. The technical problems that in the prior art, when hollow thin-wall pier construction is conducted on a high pier and a large span, the overall construction method is tedious and complex, the efficiency is too low, the construction cost is high, and the node construction period is prone to being delayed are solved.
