The invention relates to geopolymer barite radiation protection concrete and a preparation method thereof, and the geopolymer barite radiation protection concrete comprises the following components in parts by mass: 200 to 300 parts of cement, 600 to 800 parts of geopolymer aggregate, 1400 to 1600 parts of barite, 1000 to 1200 parts of heavy crystal sand, 30 to 40 parts of fiber, 200 to 240 parts of water and 5 to 10 parts of a water reducing agent. The geopolymer aggregate is obtained by reacting fly ash, mineral powder, an alkali activator and water, carrying out hardening forming, crushing, screening, sealing and storing, and the strength and fracture toughness of the geopolymer aggregate are lower than those of barite aggregate. The strength and fracture toughness of the geopolymer aggregate are lower than those of barite aggregate, and the geopolymer aggregate is added into a cement matrix to induce cracks to develop at the geopolymer aggregate, so that the cracks are prevented from developing along an aggregate-cement matrix interface, the concrete is promoted to generate a saturated multi-crack cracking phenomenon, and the toughness of the barite anti-radiation concrete is further enhanced.
