The spark plug (1) has a cylindrical insulator (50). The insulator contains aluminum oxide as a main component and also contains an auxiliary component. The auxiliary components include a silicon (Si) component, a magnesium (Mg) component, a barium (Ba) component, a calcium (Ca) component, and a rare earth component. When these components are converted into oxides, the content ratio (mass%) with respect to the total mass of the auxiliary components satisfies a predetermined condition.
火花塞(1)具有筒状的绝缘体(50)。该绝缘体含有氧化铝作为主成分，并且还含有副成分。副成分含有硅(Si)成分、镁(Mg)成分、钡(Ba)成分、钙(Ca)成分和稀土成分。在将这些各成分换算成氧化物时的、相对于副成分总质量的含有比例(质量％)满足预定的条件。
