The invention discloses ardealite neutron ray shielding aggregate which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 70-90% of ardealite, 2-5% of superfine active admixture, 1-5% of industrial waste residue, 0-30% of functional component, 5-10% of cement, 0.5-5% of alkaline activator and 1-5% of pore-forming agent, the water-binder ratio is 0.16 to 0.45. The phosphogypsum is used as a main raw material, cement, a superfine active admixture, an exciting agent, a pore-forming agent and the like are further combined for a composite excitation hydration reaction, a lightweight aggregate system with rich fine communicating pores is formed, meanwhile, boron and lead components with a shielding effect are subjected to space crosslinking through a cementation reaction, and the shielding effect is achieved. And the shielding capability on neutron rays can be further obviously improved. The ardealite aggregate disclosed by the invention has good mechanical properties, water storage and release properties and neutron ray resistance, and high-value utilization of ardealite can be realized; the preparation method is simple and controllable, low in energy consumption and suitable for popularization and application.
