Method for reinforcing and protecting karez by using oval culvert
The invention discloses a karez reinforcing and protecting method utilizing an oval culvert. The karez reinforcing and protecting method comprises the following steps that S1, deposits on a karez closed conduit reinforcing section are cleaned; s2, the oval culvert is supported through a supporting mechanism, then the closed conduit is reinforced through the oval culvert, and the oval culvert is formed by internally cutting a semi-oval section and a semicircular section; s3, a gap between the culvert wall and the wall of the original karez is densely filled with sandy soil or sand gravel consistent with the surrounding stratum, and the outer portion of the oval culvert at the joint is wrapped with a layer of geomembrane; and S4, aiming at different forms of roads and facilities occupying the vertical shaft of the karez, adopting a targeted reinforcing mode for the vertical shaft needing to be reinforced. According to the device, the oval culvert can be tightly attached to the karez closed conduit to the maximum extent, damage to the cultural relic body and the original building style can be reduced to the maximum extent, the oval culvert is good in compression resistance, well descending inspection and desilting are facilitated, water leakage loss is reduced, economy is achieved, and the construction cost is effectively reduced.
