The method for preparing type II anhydrous gypsum and building gypsum from ardealite comprises the following steps: mixing ardealite with water to obtain slurry, and screening to obtain oversize coarse gypsum and undersize fine gypsum slurry; settling and thickening the undersize fine gypsum slurry to obtain supernate and first gypsum slurry; mixing the oversize coarse gypsum with a sulfuric acid solution, and carrying out crystal transformation to obtain coarse II-type anhydrous gypsum and an acid solution; performing reverse flotation on the coarse II-type anhydrite to obtain II-type anhydrite, flotation return water and first organic slag liquid; and mixing the first organic slag liquid and the first gypsum slurry, and carrying out reverse flotation to obtain organic slag, building gypsum and flotation return water. The II-type anhydrous gypsum, the building gypsum and the organic slag are produced through particle size grading, wet crystal transformation and flotation purification methods, wherein the II-type anhydrous gypsum is a good filler raw material; the building gypsum is suitable for most building occasions.
