The invention relates to a temporary support for hoisting a steel box girder, and belongs to the technical field of steel box girder construction. Comprising a plurality of stand columns arranged in a matrix shape, a plurality of reinforcing rods connected between every two adjacent stand columns, I-shaped steel arranged between the upper portions of the stand columns and a plurality of sets of jacks arranged above working steel, and each stand column comprises a first connecting unit and a second connecting unit which are alternately arranged in the vertical direction; the first connecting unit comprises four connecting sleeves which are arranged at four corners and four connecting rods which are fixedly connected between every two adjacent connecting sleeves respectively, and the second connecting unit comprises four connecting columns which are arranged at four corners; the top ends and the bottom ends of the connecting columns are slidably inserted into the corresponding connecting sleeves on the upper side and the lower side correspondingly, and a supporting adjusting assembly is arranged between every two adjacent first connecting units. According to the temporary support, the problem that the height of the temporary support is not easy to adjust in the prior art is solved.
