The invention relates to a temporary supporting system for preventing buckling deformation of a frame column and a construction method. The temporary supporting system comprises a first restraining unit, a second restraining unit, two adjusting units, a base unit, two supporting units and two locking units. The first restraining unit is arranged on the side face of the frame column. An included angle of 90 degrees is formed between the second constraint unit and the first constraint unit; the two adjusting units are rotationally arranged on the outer sides of the first restraining unit and the second restraining unit respectively; the base unit is arranged on the outer side of the first restraining unit and the outer side of the second restraining unit; the two supporting units are arranged between the corresponding adjusting units and the corresponding base units respectively. The two locking units are detachably connected with the corresponding adjusting units and the corresponding supporting units respectively. The method has the advantages that the first restraining unit and the second restraining unit which form the right angle are used for restraining the 1/3-2/3 height of the frame column, and the problem that buckling deformation is prone to being caused by external force application in the frame column reinforcing process is solved.
