The invention relates to the technical field of preparation of building products from solid wastes, and discloses a preparation method of a building product with coal ash-based foam material consolidated with carbon dioxide, which comprises the following steps: step 1, taking the solid wastes of a thermal power plant as main raw materials, and stirring to prepare a mixture; 2, adding an alkaline activator and a foam stabilizer into the mixture obtained in the step 1, and mixing to obtain slurry; 3, a foaming agent is added into the slurry obtained in the step 2, stirring and mixing are conducted, and then a formed blank is obtained through forming and curing; and 4, carbonizing the molded green body obtained in the step 3 to obtain the building product. The preparation method of the building product consolidated with carbon dioxide by the fly ash-based foam material has the advantages of high carbon sequestration efficiency, short carbon sequestration time, low energy consumption and high compressive strength of the product.
