The preparation method of the high-strength ardealite-based aggregate comprises the following steps: adding water into cooked ardealite powder, and uniformly stirring to obtain wet ardealite powder; and carrying out compression molding on the wet gypsum powder, and demolding to obtain the phosphogypsum-based aggregate. According to the preparation method disclosed by the invention, only the cooked ardealite powder is used as a raw material, and inorganic cementing materials such as cement and slag are not required to be doped, so that the cost of auxiliary raw materials is reduced, the mixing treatment process among the raw materials is also reduced, and the raw material cost and the production cost are reduced.
