The invention provides an isotropic isostatic pressing graphite material and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the field of isostatic pressing graphite materials. The preparation method of the isotropic isostatic pressing graphite material comprises the following steps: adding aggregate, binder asphalt and a dispersing agent into a solvent, and uniformly ball-milling to obtain ball-milled slurry; the aggregate is carbon black or a mixture of carbon black and at least one of artificial graphite powder, pitch coke, petroleum coke, microcrystalline graphite, needle coke and pyrolytic carbon; the binder pitch is one of medium-temperature coal pitch, petroleum pitch, mesophase pitch and naphthalene pitch. According to the preparation method of the isotropic isostatic pressing graphite material, the isostatic pressing graphite material which is good in mechanical property, good in consistency, uniform in density and good in isotropy can be prepared without adopting a cyclic process of multiple times of dipping and multiple times of roasting, so that the production period is effectively shortened, the production efficiency is improved, and the production cost is reduced; the application range of the isostatic pressing graphite material is further expanded.
