The invention relates to the technical field of green buildings, and provides a building roof greening module which comprises a planting shell, a greening unit, an on-off piece and a drainage piece, and the greening unit, the on-off piece and the drainage piece are arranged in the planting shell. The planting shell comprises a main shell body with an opening in one end and a planting groove body arranged at the opening of the main shell body, a water storage cavity and a drainage cavity which are communicated with each other are formed in the planting shell body, the water storage cavity and the drainage cavity are sequentially formed below the main shell body, the planting groove body is oppositely communicated with the water storage cavity, and a drainage hole is formed in the inner side wall of the drainage cavity; compensation row holes are further formed in the side wall of the main shell, the compensation row holes and the opening of the main shell are located on the same side, and one end of each greening unit is arranged in the corresponding planting groove body. The on-off piece is arranged in the planting shell and used for controlling on-off of the water storage cavity and the drainage cavity. One end of the drainage piece is located in the planting groove, the other end of the drainage piece is located in the water storage cavity, and the drainage piece is used for guiding liquid in the water storage cavity into the planting groove. The climate applicability of the roof green building can be improved.
