The invention discloses a high-toughness flame-retardant polyester resin. The invention discloses a preparation method of the high-toughness flame-retardant polyester resin. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing a flame-retardant prefabricated material; the preparation method comprises the following steps: adding methyl glycol, 1, 2-propylene glycol and 1, 4-butanediol into a reaction kettle under the protection of nitrogen, then adding fumaric acid, heating to 200-210 DEG C, and carrying out condensation polymerization to obtain pre-polymerized resin; cooling the prepolymerized resin, adding phthalic anhydride, dehydrated malic anhydride, hydroquinone and the flame-retardant prefabricated material, heating to 200-210 DEG C, and carrying out condensation polymerization to obtain composite polyester resin; the preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing granite aggregate and composite polyester resin, adding styrene, calcium carbonate and a curing accelerator, continuously stirring for 1-2 hours, then adding a diluent, a plasticizer, a curing agent and quartz tailings, uniformly mixing, pouring into a mold, and vibrating for 15-60 minutes; curing at 30-50 DEG C for 10-20 hours, demolding, and curing at room temperature for 1-5 hours to obtain the high-toughness flame-retardant polyester resin.
