The invention provides a rapid hole passing method for a gantry type double-girder bridge girder erection machine. The rapid hole passing method comprises the steps that S1, the bridge girder erection machine and a girder transporting vehicle are hoisted to a bridge; s2, the bridge girder erection machine prepares a via hole; s3, the rear supporting legs are lifted, and the angles of the traveling wheels are driven to be matched with the tangential direction of the curve of the bridge; s4, the middle supporting leg is lifted to walk to the front end of the erected bridge along the main beam of the bridge erecting machine, and after the middle supporting leg is supported on the upper surface of the bridge, a steering locking mechanism at the lower end of the middle supporting leg is removed; s5, the front supporting legs are folded, the bridge erecting machine is driven by the rear supporting leg walking wheels to be driven along the bridge until the front supporting legs move to the position above the next pier, and the front supporting legs are riveted to the corresponding piers; and S6, the rear supporting legs are lifted, and the walking wheels are reset. The steering locking mechanism is arranged, the angle of the bridge erecting machine can be adjusted in the direction of a bridge by adjusting the angle of the walking wheels, and therefore the requirement for erecting a small-radius bridge is met, the bridge erecting difficulty is lowered, and the hole passing speed of the bridge erecting machine is increased.
