The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a building panel (1), such as a floor panel, comprising a core (2). The method comprises providing a core material (3) comprising a thermoplastic material (3a), a filler (3b) and hollow particles 5 (3c), and applying heat and pressure to the core material to form the core. The present disclosure also relates to a corresponding building panel.
