The invention discloses a tuff similar material with permeation-vibration characteristics and a preparation method of the tuff similar material. The material comprises aggregate, supplementary fine aggregate, a cementing material and water, wherein in parts by weight, the aggregate is 200-400 parts, the supplementary fine aggregate is 25-50 parts, the cementing material is 4-20 parts, and the water accounts for 3%-6% of the total weight of the aggregate and the supplementary fine aggregate. The similar material is applied to research of mine ground pressure and rock stratum control disciplines, can further analyze overlying strata migration and working face conditions, and can qualitatively and quantitatively analyze overlying strata deformation, migration, roof damage, overlying separation layer development and overlying strata stress evolution laws by means of monitoring equipment; the method is an important research means for analyzing possible mechanical phenomena and pressure distribution rules in protolith.
